Christopher is currently undertaking a PGCE in Secondary Music with Specialist Instrumental Teaching at Manchester Metropolitan University and the Royal Northern College of Music. The course includes
Whilst at Birmingham Conservatoire and the Royal Northern College of Music, Christopher attended a series of classes looking at family instruments, technique and pedagogy lead by:
Trumpet/Cornet: Andy Stone-Fewings (RSC), Paul Mayes (Freelance), Ian Porthouse (Tredegar Brass Band), John Miller (RNCM).
Trombone: Anthony Howe (CBSO), Bob Hughes (ex-LSO), Ros Davies (Halle).
Horn: Simon de Sousa (Freelance), Lindsey Stoker (BBC Philharmonic), Owen Farr (Cory Brass Band).
Most Recently, Christopher has been teaching for Oldham Music Service and has also taught for Wigan and Nottingham Music Services teaching individuals and small groups at both primary and secondary schools including the delivering of Wider Opportunities programmes.
Christopher can teach a range of styles including Brass Band, Classical, Jazz and Contemporary on Trumpet, Cornet, Flugelhorn, French Horn, Tenor Horn, Baritone, Euphonium, Trombone and Tuba. In addition, Christopher can also teach Music Theory and Popular Music Theory.
